We're so sorry say Toby was killed in early December by a speeding car. We were called by the RSPCA at 10.30 one night telling us to get to the vet he was taken to as he wasn't going to make it.
He was so badly hurt that he had to be put to sleep the second we got there - the vet was only waiting for permission. Luckily - there is no other word I can think of - for him he'd received massive brain damage and probably didn't know anything past being hit, but we held him and talked to him as he went which was peaceful for him.
We originally put up this page as a little humour but we've had so many emails about him over his four years he practically had a fan club so we left it up. Ordinarily I wouldn't explain on here but we know a lot of people would like to know so rather than just taking his page down we'll keep it active for a little while.
We'd also like to thank the people who have written to us about him... it's been wonderful to know other people loved him too
