POSTAGE TO USA & CANADA
We DO ship worldwide and roughly 60% of our sales are to the US. The service we use is called International Signed For Airmail, or ISF, which is tracked and does need a signature on delivery.
This is a regular post office service and not a large courier, so there's usually no import duty (although not guaranteed obviously), which the main couriers seem to charge automatically whether it's due or not.
This service has a target delivery time of 5-10 working days, which it does usually meet. It can take a little longer sometimes and yes, sometimes a little quicker... but it is the fastest service we can use without charging silly money.

TRACKING:
USPS are not updating their tracking sites quickly, and most tracking numbers are returning the query "We have been informed originator is processing delivery" - even when items have been delivered!
The Royal Mail site is updating quickly although it will only be able to tell you that your parcel has been passed to USPS/CanadaPost and not give details about where it is in your country.
DELAYS DUE TO SECURITY:
US Homeland Security sometimes increase the security checks of parcels coming from abroad. While the actual delivery is pretty much the same as before, the tracking side of the service doesn't get updated as quickly as normal.
DELAYS DUE TO WEATHER CONDITIONS:
When there are any weather warnings, such as flooding, extreme snow, hurricanes, etc. you can find out more here to see if it affects you directly.
Please do take into account that if USPS says your sorting office is open normally, the parcels do need to cross other states which may be suffering extreme weather.
And finally... CANADA
The Canadian Postal Service is beyond strict (or jobsworthy, pedantic, etc), insisting stickers are placed in certain parts of envelopes, wording on customs forms is filled out a certain way, and have been known to return parcels because something as minor as not having the words 'Small Parcels' next to an Airmail sticker.
SO.... please give us your exact address, with everything you think needs adding to it, to make sure they don't use your parcel to vent their frustration. We make sure everything is in the right place... just help make sure we beat them :)
